 WRECK DIVER If you were to drive by an ole shipyard the rusty hulk of a steel freighter lying on its side may not excite you. However, take that same ship sink it in 30-100 feet of water, add some yarn about how it got there and divers are ready to explore every inch. Combine all of this with a staff member like Tom Herrell and you will understand why every Midwest Diver should take the Drysuit Class and then the Wreck Diver. You will spend one evening in the classroom learning how to locate wrecks and the mystic that follows wreck diving. You will make 4 different wreck dives ranging from the Flamingo, Dreadnaught, Smithmoore., Bimini Barge or Miami Rita just to name a few. You will learn how to make a proper penetration on a sunken ship. MDS runs several single day trips to Lake Michigan to explore the depths ranging from 28 to 100 feet. On these trips you will discover a wealth of history located at our back door and become a true Midwest Diver. Excitement and adventure await those who take the Wreck Diver Class and receive the PADI Wreck Diving Specialty certification upon successful completion of this course.
