 Drysuit Diver For divers living in central Illinois this is a very essential course to insure your complete enjoyment of diving in the Midwest. Ask any one who owns a drysuit or dives one. The knowledge and skills to dive properly with a drysuit not only extends the time frame of diving in the Midwest, but it will make wreck diving in the Great Lakes more enjoyable. Whether exploring under the ice, below the thermo cline, or the Mystery Trip to Catalina a drysuit is the ticket to comfortable diving. The academic portion of the class will introduce you to different drysuits, there feature benefits and pros and cons of the different types. You will learn how to care for your dry suit to insure maximum longevity of your purchase. You will have one evening in the pool where you will master the techniques and acquire the skills essential for the 2 open water dives. The drysuits are included for the pool training, but must be rented or purchased for the open water training. After 2 great open water dives you will receive the PADI Drysuit Specialty that can be used toward Master SCUBA Diver.
